Middletown Poetry Jam

A jam session for poets to meet and share the magic of words. Poet Thomas Gray said "Poetry is thoughts that breathe and words that burn." Our goal is to celebrate the power and beauty of the spoken word. All are invited to submit an application to read poetry in 5-minute time slots. Applicants can be poets, readers of poetry, or just plain lovers. The event starts with "open" readers and will be followed by several guest poets such as noted poet Michael P.Thomas. Call for application.

Eclectic Chamber Music featuring everything from Beethoven, Viennese Polkas, Villa-Lobos, and Baroque to a piece featuring soprano Sara Page Hall. The musicians are Keith Calmes (classical guitar) Timothy Broege (piano and recorder) Marjorie Koharski (flute) The performance will also include an original piece for recorder and guitar by Tim Broege and a major solo guitar piece by Brazilian composer Heitor. Tickets $10
