A child-focused journey into the world of music, movement, and dance, and the natural response music provokes in both children and adults. A Zumbini class is a celebration of the power of music to enhance our lives, stimulate learning, inspire dance movement, and strengthen the bond between parent and child. What is Zumbini you ask? A 45 minute music and movement experience, which is developmentally appropriate for the age range of the class. Every class, designed for children 0-4 years old with a caregiver and includes dancing, singing and playing instruments. A bonding experience for all is involved, including caregiver to child, child-to-child, and caregiver to caregiver. Focuses on energy, fun, and play to contribute toward the natural development of cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills.

Children, along with their parents, are introduced to the keyboards in a fun, educational environment that motivates the child to persevere while internalizing the basics of music.
Lori is a long time musician and theatre director, who has displayed a passion and love for teaching young children over the past 25 years. From as young as 4 years old, Lori started teaching herself piano and developed an intuitive sense of learning, playing, and developing her style. Lori began her career teaching private lessons but soon realized she could reach younger students and provide even greater social benefits by also teaching group classes. Lori has a rich history of directing theatre in local productions, as well as providing student recitals and orchestrating other amusing and student focused events.

In this thrilling eight-week program, renowned Dungeon Master and tabletop game expert, Sam Baker, will teach students everything they need to know to get started in the amazing world of RPGs (role playing games).
CLASS OVERVIEW:
Week 1: Intro to Roleplaying Games/ Intro to Character Creation
Overview of the players handbook for D&D 5th edition, gameplay mechanics, character sheets, and then introduction to character creation.
Week 2: Character Creation/Intro To Game Mastering
In-depth look at what the GM is responsible for, what they can delegate to players, and the structure of an adventure.
Week 3: Play Experience
With Sam as DM groups will run a short adventure touching on every aspect of roleplaying games (ex. Combat and stats, choice, character roleplay, separation between player vs character, non-violent resolutions, player consideration and safety tools for D&D
Week 4 – 8: 2 hour Adventures!
Now that everyone knows the ropes, the adventures continue with each student getting
a chance to DM. Students will be provided modules (packets with premade game content). The DMs of the week will set aside their character for that week and the students are let loose to play in groups with Sam guiding and answer rule disputes as needed.

This Fall, students of all ages can immerse themselves in a special program taught by Master Artist, Elizabeth Schettini Sowell. The program is designed to take students through the fundamentals of drawing, sculpture, printmaking and painting in such a way that they will graduate the program with the solid foundation needed to be successful at making art, both personally and professionally. The life-changing class will guide students in a progression of skills, building a solid foundation for all art with strong technical skills. Students will draw from life, still life and from their imagination while they progress to Intermediate Drawing then Sculpture, Printmaking and Painting as they develop and hone art skills and learn the language of art.

Join artist Ronda Christie for this art sampler class, designed for students looking to expand their artistic horizons! This class will cover a variety of media, including linoleum block printing, watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil, and pastel. Dawn Ferro is a special education teacher in Monmouth County and has taught for over 30 years. When she isn’t in the classroom with her LLD students, she is directing plays and teaching a variety of dance classes throughout New Jersey. She loves to share her passion for the theatre arts and dance with others.

Students will have voice, acting and dance training culminating in our traditional annual production of Elf, Jr. Although students will audition for roles, every student will receive a part.
