We are proud to introduce this salon-style, progressive visual arts program, created by Master Artist Elizabeth , MFA . Students of all abilities work side by side under Schettini Sowell-Zak’s expert instruction to learn Drawing, Printmaking, Painting, and Sculpture with creative hands-on experience. As students of all levels are guided through the foundational pillars of Fine Art principals, techniques, and language. students develop strong skills, a more discerning eye, confidence in expressing an opinion about artwork for self-critique while they develop their new creative skills, and learn the language of the art industry.
The Salon Model: From the first class onward, each student’s abilities, interests and strengths are continually re-assessed to create a custom program that is tailor-suited for their own unique journey as an artist. As each artist continues through the program, they build upon information learned in previous class sessions and subjects as they develop their individual creative voice.
The program is intended as one of accumulated knowledge building upon prior sessions. Each class will include: the new information to focus on as a skill, lesson of the day, discussion, and demonstration, ending with a class critique and area to individually focus on.

After the body scan, we transition from relaxing to writing, with the intention of transforming blocks into stories. If you write, or want to write, learning how tension, tightness, and holding in your body can translate into this special type of treasure will support you.
When time allows, participants will be invited to share their writing, however, sharing is not required!
