In this supportive and laughter-filled workshop, you’ll learn how to turn everyday ideas into original jokes, build your comedic voice, and perform with confidence. We’ll explore the fundamentals of joke writing, structure, timing, and stage presence as you shape your own stand-up routine from start to finish.
- New students: You’ll develop and polish a 5-minute set to perform at our class showcase.
- Returning students: You’ll have the chance to expand your act to up to 10 minutes (time permitting).
Whether you’re brand new to comedy or ready to take your material to the next level, this class will help you bring your best laughs to the mic!
The class culminates in an informal live showcase for friends and family!

Trish Tyler
Trish Tyler has lost track of how long she has been studying improv! She studied at UCB NY, ComedySportz NY and Chicago and the Annoyance.
