Cartoon Art, Animation and Imagination

No one brings cartooning, art and animation to life like Art Kaney, the Doodle Dude! From the cute and cool, to the crazy, and from the basics to more advanced techniques, the Doodle Dude will educate, entertain and inspire! Have a blast drawing cartoons, making art, animation, claymation and designing video game characters. 

FULL DAY OPTIONS AVAILABLE: Doodle Dude campers can also create a full-day program by combining a morning program with Doodle Dude with an afternoon program with Miss Fish or KidzArt.

THEMED WEEKS:

Doodle Dude’s Surf’s Up Lu-au!
June 22–26
Let’s kick off the summer catching a wave! Paint and draw surfer dudes and
dudettes and your favorite ocean creatures Hokusai style. Lu-au and Lemonade
party last day of class.

Pokémon and the Great Doodle Hunt!
June 29 – July 3
Gotta catch’em all! Let’s get off the console and get outside and look for critters
(weather permitting), just like the creator of Pokémon Satoshi Tajari used to! Grab
an easel and paint your own Pokémon characters. Gaming party and dress up party
on the last day of camp!

The Legend of Zelda!
July 6–10
In a world of kings and queens, and dragons and wizards is the land of Zelda…
Let’s go on an adventure! We will draw, paint, and create castles, dragons, neon
knights and pirates! Dress up and gaming party last day of camp!

Pokémon Let’s Go!
July 13–17
Gotta catch’em all! Let’s go on a wild art adventure as we create and design our
own Pokémon characters. Which ones are your favorite? Gamer party and dress up
on the last day of camp.

The Art of Gaming… Minecraft, Roblox, and Fortnite!
July 20 –24
There’s so much art in these popular games! Let’s get off the consoles and create
and sculpt our own characters. We’ll even design our own video games! Costume
and gaming party on Friday!

Arctic Animals!
Aug 3–7
Brrr! From polar bears to penguins, to arctic foxes and more! Let’s draw paint and
sculpt different animals in the arctic. Dress up and gaming party last day of camp!

Super Mario Carts and Crafts!
Aug 10–14
It’s all about remote control cars! We will create clay characters for our remote
control battles. Have a demolition derby contest. Show and tell tech day! Dress
up and gaming party last day of camp!

Superheroes and Villains!
Aug 17–21
Here comes the Spiderman! Batman, Superman, Marvel and more! In this class,
we will create our own comic books, sculpt our own action figures, and design
our own capes! Dress up and gaming party last day of camp!

Pets and Painting Outside!
Aug 24–28
Do you have a pet or just love cute animals? Then this camp is for you! We will
grab our paintbrushes and easels and head outside (weather permitting). We
will use watercolors, acrylics, gouache, oil, pastels to paint wooden animal
sculptures. Dress up party and ice pops last day of camp!

Animals in the Wild!
Aug 31 – Sep 4
When you stop to look out the window, what do you see? Birds…squirrels…
foxes…raccoons…flying squirrels…and, yes, flying squirrels! We will paint,
work with clay and color our own stuffed animals. Dress up party and ice pops
last day of camp!
