Miss Fish’s Summer Art Adventures

Ages 4–8

There’s no one quite like Miss Fish, whose positive energy and love of children make every day at Summer Art Camp a fun adventure. As an elementary school art teacher for decades, Miss Fish brings a wealth of art education experience to the program. 

Each week is different with many new projects this year and will include them-related, age-appropriate activities. Children will draw, paint, construct and create using various materials including watercolor, tempera paint, different kinds of clay, pastels, pencils and craft materials. Activities vary between morning and afternoon for campers who wish to remain with Miss Fish for the full day.

THEMED WEEKS:

Hawaiian Holiday
June 22–26
A tropical escape filled with bright colors and island vibes. Campers craft art inspired by ocean waves, tiki culture, tropical flowers, sea life and the spirit of aloha.

Glow-in-the-Dark Summer
June 29 – July 3
Campers experiment with neon colors, blacklight-reactive materials, and glowing effects to create bold, luminous masterpieces that shine day or night.

Royal Regalia
July 6–10
A majestic week of art fit for kings, queens, knights and dragons. Campers design crowns, castles, royal creatures, and enchanted treasures while exploring rich colors, bold shapes and imaginative landscapes.

Animal Planet
July 13–17
A wild week of creativity inspired by creatures big and small. Campers explore habitats, patterns, textures and animal personalities as they create artwork celebrating the amazing animal kingdom.

Buggin’ Out & Flower Frenzy
July 20–24
A whimsical exploration of the garden. Artists create buzzing bugs, beautiful butterflies, blooming flowers and imaginative garden scenes while discovering nature’s backyard wonders.

Rainforest Adventure
July 27–31
Kids journey into the lush rainforest, creating vibrant artwork inspired by exotic animals, towering trees, colorful birds and the rich textures of this incredible ecosystem.

Sculpt & Build – Art in 3D
Aug 3–7
A hands-on week dedicated to building, shaping and constructing. Campers explore clay, mixed media and sculptural techniques to bring their ideas to life in three dimensions.

Summer Safari
Aug 10–14
Campers go on an imaginative safari, crafting everything from jungle beasts to cute critters. This theme blends art and nature for a playful, hands-on adventure into the world of the animals we love.

Sea, Sand & Surf
Aug 17–21
A beach-themed art getaway celebrating oceans, shorelines and sunny summer days. Campers create beach-inspired artwork featuring waves, seashells, marine life and sandy textures.

Summer Eats and Treats
Aug 24–28
A sweet celebration of color, texture and creativity. Campers will design fun art projects inspired by hot dogs, ice cream sundaes, sprinkles, cones, watermelon and all of the deliciousness of summer.

Summer Arts & Crafts Bonanza!
Aug 31 – Sep 4
An end of summer celebration as campers dive into a wide variety of projects – painting, crafting, drawing, designing and sculpting. It’s a week full of hands-on art adventures and end of summer fun.
