This summer, both youth and adult students can immerse themselves in a special program taught by Master Artist, Elizabeth Schettini Sowell. The program is designed to take students through the fundamentals of drawing, sculpture, printmaking and painting in such a way that they will graduate the program with the solid foundation needed to be successful at making art, both personally and professionally. Whether you are new to art or you’ve been making art for a long time, this life-changing class will guide students in a progression of skills, building a solid foundation for all art with strong technical drawing skills. Students will draw from life, still life and from their imagination and will progress to Intermediate Drawing and then sculpture, printmaking and painting as they develop and hone art skills and learn the language of art.
Under the direction of Master Artist, Elizabeth Schettini Sowell, students will learn the important fundamentals of drawing that will form the basis of all art. Materials included. *Discount for registering for both sessions
Elizabeth Schettini Sowell, is an internationally exhibiting, award-winning artist, experimenting in a multi-disciplinary, conceptual practice including drawing, painting, sculpture, photograph and installation. The surrounding social and cultural environments, as well as, the serenity of exterior landscape inspire her work. She has innovatively mentored and educated young people and aspiring artists for more than 30 years as a community leader and as a college Professor.
Born in the suburbs of New Jersey, USA, where she earned a Masters Degree in Fine Art, 2007, from Montclair State University. Currently, she resides in Monmouth County, New Jersey and works there and in New York City.
