Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers support the Middletown Arts Center’s mission of cultivating and nurturing the work of literary, visual and performing artists with ties to the Middletown and the surrounding communities. We welcome and appreciate volunteer applications from adults and teens ages 14 and older. Positions and duties can be customized to fit your interests, abilities and schedule. We are a registered Presidential Service Award organization, and hours served may apply to community service requirements for the National Honor Society and other organizations. School’s Out Camp Volunteers

MAC is in need of teens 14+ to volunteer as assistant counselors for our School’s Out Day Camp. NHS community service hours apply. Seeking teens with interest in the arts, working with children, or teaching. Camp runs from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Volunteers may attend for full or parital day. Teens must pre-register.

Office Volunteers

Work alongside MAC staff and help with administrative duties. Well-organized individuals with great attention to detail are needed for help with mailings, order processing, and other office duties. We request a minimum of 4 hours per week.

Special Event Volunteers

Friendly, dependable volunteers are needed to help with special events. Event support includes venue set-up, greeting and serving visitors, ushering performances, assisting with concessions and post-performance receptions during the summer season.

Professional Services

We welcome pro-bono support including photography, printing, and event management.

Dance Instructor for Summer Arts Camps

Communications Intern

The Social Media & Marketing Intern will assist the Marketing Director and team in promoting the Middletown Arts Center’s programs including events, theatrical productions, concerts, camps, classes, workshops and much more. Students enrolled in a college program interested in the arts with a career focus on marketing, public relations, communications and graphic design are invited to apply. Must need credit hours.

The Middletown Arts Center is interested in experienced and qualified instructors in fine arts, literary arts, music, instrument and vocal instruction, theater arts, photography, dance, crafting, etc., for both children, teens, and adults.
