March 6 – April 10 | Wednesdays: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm (6 classes)
This class is for novice watercolor painting students. You will be taught basic watercolor techniques, such as wet on wet and wet on dry, as well as interesting ways to create textures particular to landscape painting, such as florals, greenery, water, rain, snow and rocks, among others. We will discuss composition and design, as well as atmospheric perspective, light and shadow. By the end of the class you will have completed 2 to 3 finished watercolor landscape paintings.
Suggested materials list will be provided upon registration, but a basic set of good watercolor paints (tubes preferable), a few brushes and quality watercolor paper will be required.

Laura Mandile
Laura Mandile is an award-winning local artist who also taught fine arts and photography in several Monmouth County High Schools. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and her personal work focuses mainly on oil or watercolor landscapes, florals, and scenes which capture her visual memories of actual places and events in her life.
