Cartoon Art, Animation and Imagination

No one brings cartooning, art and animation to life like Art Kaney, the Doodle Dude! From the cute and cool, to the crazy, and from the basics to more advanced techniques, the Doodle Dude will educate, entertain and inspire! Have a blast drawing cartoons, making art, animation, claymation and designing video game characters. 

FULL DAY OPTIONS AVAILABLE: Doodle Dude campers can also create a full-day program by combining a morning program with Doodle Dude with an afternoon program with Miss Fish, Snapology or KidzArt.

Doodle Dude’s Surf’s Up Lu-au!
June 23 – 27
Let’s kick off the summer catching a wave! Paint and draw surfer dudes and dudettes and your favorite ocean creatures Hokusai style. Lu-au and Lemonade party last day of class.

Perfect Pets!
June 30 – July 3 | M-Th (Four-day camp: Members $135 | Non-members $150)
Dogs, cats, birds, lizards, fish and more! Let’s explore all the different kinds of pets in our families.  We will draw and paint pictures of your favorite pets, color your own stuffed animal pet and use clay to make pet sculptures.

Pokémon and the Great Doodle Hunt!
July 7 – 11
Let’s get outside and look for critters like the famous creator of Pokémon, Satoshi Tajiri!  Grab an easel and paint your favorite Pokémon.  Let’s draw and create our own new Pokémon using watercolor and clay!  Gaming party and dress-up on the last day of class!

Cartooning Comics and Creativity… Pilkey Style!
July 14 – 18
Dog Man?… No… Dog Dude! Captain Underpants! Attention Dav Pilkey enthusiasts!  Let’s create our own comics and learn to animate. Gaming party and dress-up on the last day of class!

The Art of Gaming… Minecraft, Among Us, and Roblox!
July 21 – 25
There’s so much art in these popular games!  Let’s get off the consoles and create and sculpt our own characters.  We’ll even design our own video games! Costume and gaming party on Friday!

Superheroes and Villains
Aug 4 – 8
POW!… BAM! Superman, Krypto, Spiderman, Captain America, Batman and more! Have a blast with comics and animation cells. Sculpt your own action figure out of clay. Gamer party and dress up on the last day of camp!

Pokémon Go!
Aug 11 – 15
Gotta catch’em all! Let’s go on a wild art adventure as we create and design our own Pokémon Characters, make Pokémon cards and balls! Which ones are your favorite? Gamer party and dress up on the last day of camp!

Super Smash! Mario Carts and Crafts!
Aug 18 – 22
It’s all about remote control cars! We will create clay characters for an awesome demolition derby. Draw and Paint event and a show and tell Tech Day. Gamer party and dress up on the last day of camp!

Animals in the Jungle
Aug 25 – 29
Lions and tigers and bears… oh my!  Let’s go on a safari adventure as we paint, draw and sculpt all of our favorite jungle animals!
